Back in the Deep Freeze

I know that some of you have never experienced snow or severe temperatures. So, let me try to give you an example of how cold it is here. Have you ever been in a meat locker or freezer for your stores or restaurants? It's very cold in there. It doesn't take long for you to start to feel that cold on your hands and face. That's what it feels like outside right now. As I was leaving the hospital they had the weather station on and I saw we were at 8 F with a -7 F wind chill. I'm very glad I had the foresight to take my grocery cart with me when I left, putting the box of books and my two bags in it before I left and bringing in the water and my bags when I got home so I didn't need to come in for the cart and get the water and bring it in. All one shot. Now, I'm doing my best to warm up. I have the heater on in my office with the door closed to contain the heat. Soon my fingers and toes will be thawed out. One bag was my purse, the other contained my books I wanted to show one of the nurses. I showed them to two of them and one is going to buy a copy, so I made a sale today. When I got to the UPS store, I found out something I didn't know. The UPS store handles mail for the Post Office too, and I almost sent those books by way of the postal service. I quickly changed that to UPS as I wasn't going to have another problem with my books. They will arrive at their destination on Monday. So, now I'm home, and interacting with you again.
