Who wants to travel the world?

I travel to find myself

I'm a person who tends to get bored quickly. I need new adventures to inspire my creativity and get me excited for the day. I want to meet all varieties of people, behold the beauty of our earth, and learn more about myself. Travel fulfills these needs for me like ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day. Every new country I see opens my eyes to new perspectives and ways of life I've never seen before. Imagine learning that there's a fruit that tastes like chocolate pudding, finding out you can love and be loved no matter where you are in the world, and discovering your hearts deepest desires. You might think you're just going on a trip, but once you begin to see your surroundings through the eyes of a wanderer, instead of a tourist, you'll experience a journey much more profound than you could have imagined. Is it possible to imagine leaving this world without having seen and experienced it all?

I loved to travel and see new places, meet people and discover new habits. Of course traveling is not free.

@Mygermanizedife It's a lot cheaper at home. We have traveled a lot with my husband and I know very well.

@MALUSE There is no comparison of what you pay at home for a meal and what you pay even in a small family restaurant. Your bedroom at home is free, it's not free to sleep in a hotel.

That's true but life at home isn't necessarily cheaper

@Mygermanizedife I met with a road accident here where I live, a few years ago and I do not think I can face the rigours of travel any more.

Welcome to myLot. Enjoy the site! The first step for all newbies is to read the Guidelines to learn what is allowed or not on the site. Then you can write a post introducing yourself. Tell us a bit about yourself. Furthermore, read around as much as you can, Like and Comment on other members' posts. Only then will members come to your site and do the same. This is called interaction. Don't expect too much money-wise. If you reach $5 a month (the payout limit), you can call yourself lucky. Please add the name of your country to your account page.

It is, but those who travel have great experiences. My wife has traveled far more than I. She lived in Turkey for nine years and taught there on Air Force bases in the 70s. She lived off post and had many Turkish friends. She traveled all over Europe and the Middle-East too, while there, including Egypt and Afghanistan just before the Russians came in. Then she was in Germany for nine years (I think). I visited Italy...once.

Wow she must have an impressive collection of passport stamps. Why haven't you travelled as much as your wife? How did you like Italy?

@Mygermanizedife Alex, you are welcome. Are you in a band that you like the drums? Do you have a drum set? Do you intend to go to a Spanish speaking country that you want to learn Spanish? I like photography too. I am not great at but love to take pictures.

Why don't you mention which countries you travelled so far? Your experiences on travelled places will make the post more interesting.

That would be the ultimate freedom! But then I'd like to be the invisible flying girl so I can skip the airplane experience altogether.
