I Quit.

Yes, I quit my job as I mentioned in my last post. The reasons why I quit my last job not that I did not enjoy and love teaching. It is just that I have to prioritize some things more important. But I am hoping I will be given the chance to do it again. Here are my reasons: 1. I acquire an Asymptomatic Hypertension --> because my lifestyle became sedentary, I have to sit down 2-4 hours every morning and 4 hours in the evenings and roughly 6-10 hours every weekend, I lost most of my physical activities, gained weight, added belly bulges, lost my 6-8 hours of sleep. -- what is worth worrying is that I never felt anything (asymptomatic) just very little lightheaded that I cannot connect to hypertension but more for my lack of sleep. But my 24 hours BP monitoring results said that even asleep and resting my BP was high. 2. My son who has mild autism (high functioning, in school) regressed in his behavior. Our main problem with him is his socialization skills writing. He does not want to participate in school performance which before he had been participating. His behavior became more aggressive at house and school. And last year, he was hospitalized 3 times in a year almost two months apart. 3. I lost my family time every weekend. The closeness in the family deteriorates. So there. Those were my reasons for quitting. How about you? What were your reason/s quitting your job?

That's really sad that you quit your job. And you just can't sacrifice family time specially if the child needs more attention from you. I quit my last training a few years back because of safety. I hope you can find a job that would give you quality time. Ever tried human-atic, you can control your schedule with that site.

Thanks and I agree with you. I have tried that before but I was not able to continue it due to the job. I am trying to get back at it now but I am having a hard time logging in. I hope I can the chance again to try that again. Does humanatic works for you?

That is a good reason to quit, when you are not happy with work anymore. Yes, I am hoping to find other opportunities. Do you have work now? Thank you.

@averygirl72 that is a good decision. What is your business? Is it an online business?

I have not quit my job, at least not yet. I am feeling some of the same stresses, but I am older, a lot, than you are. I have no children at home. On the other hand, every day I work with low functioning autistic children, and it is not easy. I can totally understand your son being your priority, as well as your health. Our school year will end in May. If I could find a way, I would quit before then, as my job is not being good for my diabetes. I hope you can achieve the balance you need in your life.

Oh I feel you working with them needs and take a lot of energy and time. I am blessed that my son may not be at par with kids his school age but he can do a lot more things. I hope I can have that balance in life. I hope that you can have your time to take care of yourself too. Diabetes is not an easy disease to maintain.

Did online teaching before but with Japanese students. Still interested in doing it but in a different form and company. Realized that what I was getting wasn't enough for the things that I was giving up.

i gave this link to rakski, but you might want to check it out, too, allen. i haven't tried any of those sites listed yet because i'm still not sure how to go about it.
But I'm not an English Teacher.  You might be asking this to yourself. That's alright. Most of these companies don't necessarily look for people who majore

Did the right thing there @allen0187. Somehow its the same for me. Since I do it part time, my time has not been full with students so I just have to wait.

I think you did the right thing. I do teaxh online but it is all in balance situation. Regardless, I can’t afford to quit. It pays more than the regular job in my city. I just need to prioritise things up.

I know. It is also the work of my sister but she works full time and I do it part time. It was hard to balance mine because of the other things I needed to consider. I am happy that it works for you well. I hope to find my own too.

Sorry to hear your son's health. Hope he gets well soon. I quit my job 4 years ago to get married. Now I am a housewife.

@rakski That's great news dear. Maybe all he needs is your time. Just being with him might improve his health more. Glad to hear he is doing better.

That is a lot to deal with. My son has aspergers and was getting so angry and upset at school that I pulled him out and we have been doing cyber school for two years now.

Yep that is exactly what cyber school is. The first half of the day is live classes where he watches and interacts with the teacher. Then the second have is book work. He is 10.

That's good. I left my previous job because of the less salary otherwise there was no such reasons like you stated. Yes the present job of mine is very time demanding and have to devote lots of time there at job, still can't do anything as I am good money for it. Somewhere one has to compromise.

Yes, I did not see it coming also. The funny thing is I just came to the doctor for just a regular check up and blood test but due to my blood pressure result, the doctor requested for more tests to be done that started me thinking. Good thing is that all my blood test are normal except for the blood pressure.
