This an interesting question that I long time ago research. When you let's say have a common cold you eat a candy thinking is medicine and it will actually heal you. Why? Because the brain is so powerful. If you believe really strong and sincere that it will heal you. It would actually happened. You can actually heal yourself. Brain Power!!!!!! And Good Morning.

What you say is true about the power of the brain, but if you eat a candy, your cold will be there even if you try to convince yourself, believe me

@Maria24 There are things that your brain can heal, but this does not work all the time and the doctors know very well. It works SOMETIMES, not always.

It will work if you really believe you don't have to convince yourself

Dear friend @Maria24 otherwise also even if you take medicines they just help in healing the ailment by the body. After all it is the body which heals and not the medicines. Like in case of wound and fracture, here body repairs its own tissue because of which would is healed and the fracture is joined. Medicines like antibiotics etc are used to kill the micro organisms causing various types of damage to the body. Here also these microorganisms are killed by the white blood cells of the body as a defence mechanism! Thus to say in short , the living body is having a powerful defence mechanism because of which one gets cured medicines just help the body to make the process easy! Thanks!

The body does heal itself when we provide the resources and conditions for healing. A positive attitude is a healing factor. The placebo effect does work at times but it is temporary. That is my experience.

That's why faith healing works as well. Because people believed they would be healed.

Faith matters. Even a simple cold can be healed if we believe and have faith.

I know Jesus can heal us through the Holy Spirit. He lives in us so of course we can heal but only through Him.
