Have you ever had a nasty food surprise?

There was a letter in today's Times on the subject of unusual doughnut fillings. The writer said that he had once had a curry doughnut in Japan - he discovered this by accident when he thought he was eating a jam doughnut!
Had that been me, I think my reaction would have been noticed by anyone within a 100 metre radius!
Have you eaten something and discovered - just too late - that it was not what you thought it was?

Wow, that was just a donut in disguise to something else. Never experience it yet.

Once, many years ago, I tasted some pressed ham in a can that I thought would be good, but it wasn't good at all.

Not lately but I have seen a hamburger between a sliced donut instead of a bun.
