In India we have Parliament where the Members are elected from the country as a whole.
In the different states we have Legislative assemblies where the member are elected from the respective states and they are working under the Chief Minister of the state on various portfolios given to them.
In the state of Rajasthan, in India a new building for the legislative assembly was constructed at Jaipur city in 2001.
There after 8 Legislative assembly members died while on duty from various parties within these 17 years.
Now the members have the feeling that it is because of a Ghost that is present in the Building these deaths happened in the past and now they want to get rid of this Ghost by performing traditional rituals!
India is a progressing country and we have many organizations who are working against blind faith and belief in super natural powers.
We have many educated people in our country and all around the World contributing to then welfare of the respective countries where they are working!
Despite of all these things these MLA s (Members of Legislative assembly) want to get rid of the believed Ghost which is responsible for the Members who died in the past while holding then portfolio!
It is really sad thing that the people who are responsible to eradicate such blind beliefs from the society are accepting and believing in super natural powers!
It is really beyond my understanding that how can such a responsible persons take such decisions and proceed to do something which is strictly against any rational thinking and against the blind faith!
What is your reaction dear friend? Thanks! Please respond !

Hmmm... I believe I am a rational person, AKRao24, but I also believe in ghosts. I have encountered them before and watched them do different things.
How can a rational person who has seen these things NOT believe in them?
As far as your countrymen, I have no clue. If they haven't seen or interacted with the ghost(s), why would they believe a ghost or ghosts are responsible?

This is a cheap political trick to encourage the people to believe in existance of Ghosts and superstitions which an illiterate Indian always believes in. They want people to remain illiterate and vote to the person as their community leader says whom these politicians buy during th time of elections! In nutshell this is a part of dirty games played by politicians!

That is the dual standard of these politicians dear @JudyEv ! They want the people to remain ignorant as making them wise may hamper the day today business of these politicians ! They indirectly promoting blind faith and super natural powers which most of illiterate Indians still believe in, so that these politicians remain in their good books and they can convert this aspect in to Vote bank at the time of elections! This is a dirty game of politics by dirty minded people! Thanks!

It is unfortunate we have MLAs with lack of knowledge.
What I felt, there are so many things responsible behind on spreading this kind of superstitions. First, the film world and television channels creating unbelievable stories which can easily create beliefs in common people's mind. Second the astrologers and so called Pandits (person does the poojas) are making it worst just for money.
It is high time to change the perspective and educate people from such superstitions.

There is no dearth of such illiterate leaders in Indian Politics and they have own way of getting entry into politics. Yes they need to change themselves, no doubt about it!
But I feel that these people deliberately create such situation to send a message to the illiterate society , especially living in rural area so that they will remain in the darkness of illiteracy and these politicians can rule them easily!
These dirty politicians can do anything dear @Sreekala ! Thanks!
