I was rush to the ER.

I was rush to the ER earlier because I got panic today. The bleeding is not stopping and every now and then I change the soak plaster of my stitch. I thought I will lose a lot of blood so I called the boyfriend to rush me to the Hospital. Plus I got a fever. It took an hour for us to have someone check my stitch because they are a lot of patients in the ER plus it's a public Hospital so expect a lot of patients there. When it was my turn, the Doctor asks for a Lab test for me so they can check my Hemoglobin count. One of the surgeons check my stitch and told us again, that is it natural for the stitch to bleed because it's from the veins. I just needed to add some pressure on it and soon it will stop to bleed. After 6 hours of waiting for the result, they discharge me. At last. Looks like I overstayed in the ER already. The photo is me while waiting for the result.

I would have probably gone to the hospital as well. At least it seems as though things are alright.

That must have been scary, veins bleed forever unless you put enough pressure on them and hold them quite tightly. I hope you are doing better now. Why were you running fever?

You must be so sick of hospitals. I know when I was in the hospital a lot in my twenties I got sick just thinking of doctors and hospitals.

@Hannihar Nope. They told me, it's natural for the stitch to bleed because it's from the veins. Once the pressure is tight. It will soon be over and will stop.

That's what I told the boyfriend. I just want to make sure that I am not running out of blood. I don't want to have another blood transfusion again. So far at the moment, it's not bleeding anymore.

If the bleeding does not stop at once and the color of blood is bright red and is oozing, that is arterial blood. There should be firm pressure applied over the gauze. If the color is dark red, it is venous blood. May I suggest that you apply firm pressure on the gauze before wrapping your arm with the tight grip. Thank you.

At the moment my stitches are not bleeding anymore which is a sign that it will heal soon enough. That time I got panicked and it was still soaking. But the Doctor only said it's natural to bleed because it was the veins.
