Some weeks ago I wrote a post about a very good Chilean movie I had seen. The name of the film was A Fantastic Woman and it was about the human problems that a transgender woman has to face when her partner dies.
Daniela Vega, the actress, is a transgender woman and she put in her acting all of what she had gone through.
The film is moving and received the Oscar for the best foreign film. It is also the first time that in Oscar has been given for this subject. I am glad that this subject, treated in the movie with respect, was given this prize.
Not so long ago, there were subjects that were banned from films. This has fortunately changed. Thanks for the Oscar and thanks for the change.
Now I´m off to bed

@jobelbojel It is hard to make a movie about this subject in this day without falling into the obvious. This movie does it.

I did see some of the Oscars tonight - and I did see Daniela Vega be a presenter - but as I did not know much about many of the people or movies tonight, I had no idea she was a transgender woman until your post! When she asked if we felt the love, Hubby and I were a bit confused, but now I understand. Well bravo - I'm glad the film won - and it's about time these changes be made!!
