Gardened for Three days

water bottle, lettuce
Philippines
March 6, 2018 12:59am CST
Hello Mylotters, After watching and learning about hydroponic, I realized that it wasn't something I could afford. So, I went to self sustaining water pot instead. Again, they were instructions in YT using water bottles. I continued the next day and this time Mom helped me transplant some of the plants. Kinda criticized me for not putting the seeds apart which cause some of their stems to break. Kinda stubborn there even though I've watch it already in YT, I still planted them together. Right now I'm experimenting on germinating moringa seeds because I used to plant them directly and till now they haven't grown. I think I've achieved it already by accident last year when some pack seeds got wet from the storm and started growing. It's nice to have a family quality with parents when you garden together The picture that you see were the lettuce bought and I used the left over to replant it with this self watered pot. Hopefully it grows.

@Letranknight2015 we always buy pechay. about 2 weeks ago, she cut off the bottom parts and soaked them in water for a few days, then planted it in soil. some are now growing.

@magallon you could try what I'm doing doing. And there's a lot of videos in youtube about indoor gardening. You probably just need some UV lights.

Self watering is a good idea provided more than required water does not get absorbed.

Stick to instructions when planting seeds. That is, if you want them to grow. Do you have a big garden at your home?

We have succulent plants at home and it does not need transferring. But at least you ca follow instructions.

Hello @jobelbojel The reason why I had to transfer it because it needed a bigger pot. And These are veggie plants not like those.

@Letranknight2015 I have never planted anything so think it is great when people do it. What is worth it all seeing what you planted grow into something.
