Poetry: Love always reaches you, by you not reaching out for it.

You need never reach out to love, just always remain open to receiving it.

Pain usually passes, but the underlying peace always remains. Everything coming passes, what stays never comes, but is always there. The footsteps in your heart are made by love walking there, not alone. The pain and suffering and worry in your mind are merely handprints from life. Love is within your reach at all times, but do not reach out further past love. Love is everywhere, it's always nearby, as long as you see it, not passing you by. The emptiness belies itself by reaching out to nothing, but to itself, whilst the fullness empties itself of itself by reaching out from itself too. The emptiness and the fullness both reflect each other like this, you see, but only when they are both not content to remain themselves as they are. Love itself never reaches out, because it's always there.

So true.........I had this neighbor, she took good care of me when I was in bad times. Today too when I get any health problems, she is always offering me simple remedies...what she does not know is that when she is talking to me on phone, telling me to drink tea with ginger, or eat papaya for constipation I have tears in my eyes. You see, you have to be very lucky to have folks like that in your life. Most people are friends ..they may offer things but something that has lasted well over 30 years without much contact, is beautiful.

I make those neighbors my friends because they have my best interests at heart.

@mydanods Yes, I agree. Those are the type of neighbours that we all wish that we could have!!

Thanks vanny. I would have to say that she reached out to you with love, or we could say the love worked through her. I think love uses us to reach out to others then, which is another point that I was making here. Love itself is always present everywhere, if we equate love as being God, or energy. This energy( or the energy of love) is all around us I think, within all of creation alive. We just need to let it live in us and though us, in our being of our true selves.

Some people do not know love when they see it. Nice poem that you wrote. Love is great with the right person and both of you feel the same thing.

Yes, some people do not recognise love, nor do they accept it. They are afraid to give it out, and to receive it too. They do not really know what it is, and I guess most of us are like that until we find our love inside of us, and then experience our love also connecting out to others, at one and the same time.

Love is omnipresent and freely available with no borders but we tend to be miserly with it. Love conquers all including our fears. God is love and we too are products of love - siva

Yes, I feel that love has no borders either. There is nowhere where love isn't. So we do not have to reach for it, we just have to feel it both inside and outside of ourselves wherever we are right now, and we will find it right there always with us then too.

@Shiva49 Love certainly sustains us, and yes, I agree without love, I would lose hope. Love, and perhaps only love, certainly is what keeps me going.

@innertalks I think we have to deny its presence forcefully not to feel love's influence on and around us. We live on hope and that is driven by love. When we live outside love we lose our moorings and hope - siva

Very nice poem. It makes me conclude that love cannot beg it has to be given freely.

Thanks. That sounds right to me. Love does not need to beg. Love is just forever itself, and love gives itself freely to all, as long as we remain freely open to it, and do not cut ourselves off from it.

Love is who we are. Continue to give it without expecting to receive it and you will never be without it.

Yes, that's nicely put. Love is who we are, and is the energy that powers us too. When we stifle love, we also stifle our own energy then too.
