It's a Music Geek Thing

There is something interesting about music. Hearing a song can bring memories flooding back. We can associate places, events, and people with songs.
It's funny how that happens, too. When Warren Zevon died my inbox was flooded with a number of "sympathy" e-mails from friends who knew what a big Zevon fan I am.
It happened this morning. My iPod wasn't connected (it's an old "classic" iPod, and 2017 Honda radio technology thinks that is so 2008, so every now and then the audio system in the car won't recognize the fact that it's plugged in), and my tinnitus has been throwing a fit all night, so I had to have some music going. I went to our local public radio station, which isn't great, but at least it's no don't stop believin' in the stairway to hotel cali-free bird.
As the radio drowns out the noise from the tinnitus, something begins playing. Hey, I know this song.
It's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division.
And immediately I thought of Scott (@teamfreak16 ), who's a big Joy Division/New Order fan.
Music worked its magic again. Or maybe it's just a music geek thing.
The song in question:

Yep, there is always a song for everything that happens in my life. I am not so sure that people listen to music as much as some of us do. When I am in the car I always have music playing, radio or CD.

Call in Louis Armstrong to blow his horn, or we'll blow our own horn. Yeah, we do, don't we?

This is why I don't like listening radio at my workplace. Songs bring me back in time and I think of something/someone immediately.
