Is Painting Your Nails A Necessity or Splurge?

It amazes me sometimes when people will do something like Splurge and get their nails done when you know at least a month ago, they were advertising having to do a GoFundMe to help pay for their husbands heart surgery. Also mentioned it would be a while before he could return to work and almost begging people to buy the Tupperware that they have on hand that is extra so they can survive. This is the same person who went with her husband to a really nice play, etc and posted it on Facebook. Now got her nails all done up for Easter. I guess doing things nice for yourself is appreciated and necessary Maybe it's just me, but something like this definitely is a Splurge and not a necessity. Am I wrong in thinking this, or should I not even care? And I know the person I am talking about does this a lot for the Holidays and sometimes just because. ~~TINA~~ P.S. The picture here is one of her hands

I think the person has a bit of a hide to be expecting others to come to her rescue financially when she is paying to have her nails painted.

it's a splurge.i usually don't bother painting mine unless it's for an event or something.i'm too active and i hate having to reapply it constantly.

Some people are interested on showing off even though they are struggling financially. I don't accept such traits anyway.

I don't mind such people as long as they don't affect me like they don't borrow money from me and not pay. I don't care much about how people spend their money or even spend even when they have nothing. It's their choice, they will be the one to suffer and not me. And again, just as long as they don't bug me.

I think like you, if you have no money, you do not waste money on your nails and going to nice places. Those who ask, are never those who really need money.

I agree. I think if you have the money for it and want to splurge after all the bills and everything are paid then awesome. But if you have a gofundme and are begging for money then any extras should be avoided at the time. Maybe someone spoiled her though by treating her to taking her to get her nails done during this tough time. Just trying to keep an open mind here.

To me paying to get your nails done is a splurge. Something that you do not need if you are tight on money. I agree with you on all the stuff.

That's rather nasty of her to ask for monetary help from others and splurge on herself.

You are right to your opinion, of course. But really shouldn't care, unless you're one who gave to her. Also, many see getting pampered as a necessity.. I don't - like you don't. Especially not getting nails done!

That is what I call a bum, spends her money as she likes and makes everyone else pay for her living. I would NOT give her one cent.

I agree with you, when someone don't have money to basic needs than they shouldn't waste it with futility things.

It is a necessity for me to have my nails painted because It my form of rewarding myself and relaxation as well. I am just not the type to have fancy designs on my nails.
