Question ...When is a travelator not a travelator ? Answer ....When it is in my local supermarket !!! My local supermarket has two travelators ...one going up and the other going down .... Well that makes sense doesn't it ....after all they do say ..." what goes up , must come down " However for almost a month now the "up" travelator has been broken. This has caused a few problems as you have to use the lifts now if you wish to enter the store....and the trolleys have always been kept at the bottom of the travelators .....which are at the opposite end of the store ! So you have to go in , walk the length of the store, get a trolley, walk back again to get into a lift !!! Complete madness ! I did ask why no one had moved the trolleys to next to the lifts ( there is enough space ) and was told because they were kept at the bottom of the travelator ...I explained the situation and the time being wasted but they didn't seem to understand. Hey ho !

Can those who can't use lifts (those with claustrophobia, say) use stairs to access the store?

@MALUSE I feel sick inside the elevators. The big one in the center of the mall, with transparent walls, is a little better. I cannot stand those little boxes where you cannot see outside.

@MALUSE The Mall is not tall, I have no problems with this elevator. I will never get into an external glass elevator that goes up 40 or 50 floors.

@Traceyjayne I have a serious problem of claustrophobia, I only use lift if it is absolutely necessary.
