A visit from a cat...

We recently had to replace the water heater in our house as the one we had decided to stop working. It lived past its life span. I was surprised it lasted that long as it was installed in the 90s.
We had the door open wide in the house because the workers had to keep going in and out of the house to bring stuff in and take stuff out.
I was standing in the hallway when all of a sudden we got a visitor. A green striped cat walked in through the door and started walking toward us. No one invited him in yet there he was casually strolling through the hallway like nobody's business...
Then he stopped, looked around, and must have decided this place is not for him, because next thing I knew he turned around and went back outside; never to be seen again. Well, inside my house anyway.
I have seen him outside a number of times. And prior to his visit to my house I actually saw him hiding behind the little trees we have by the house entrance. Guess he must have found it cozy over there.

I wonder how much I could sell him the house for?

That remains to be seen. But if he decides to show up I wonder if it will be with a friend...

I had a little dog run into my house one time. It was hilarious because after he ran in a kid ran in chasing him.! He chased the little dog out..and I guess must have caught him at some point. I haven't seen either the kid or the dog since then!

Now that's funny. Was the kid trying to catch the dog? Or was he just playing tag with it?

@lovebuglena He was trying to catch it. Needless to say, I was too surprised to say much. I think a lady probably mom followed and apologized.

Aw poor guy, maybe he (if a he) was hungry or cold? Have you put food outside just incase that is the case with it?
Glad he wasn't a mean swatty cat.

I was glad that he wasn't a mean cat and wasn't one to attack. Not sure if cats attack people or not. I never left food for him. I am curious as to why he sometimes lay behind our little trees...

@lovebuglena cats can. Like any animal. But i think they have to be provoked.. though they can get angry and hiss without being provoked.

I guess the car realized he walked into the wrong house.

I've had my door wide open before and that never happened. You could be right. But would he have realized he got into the wrong house as soon as he entered?
