In the year 1982, the biggest song was “Physical” by Olivia Newton-John. It spent ten consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. I remember that at this time I was taking aerobics classes and this song was constantly being played. The song was originally intended to be offered to singer-songwriter Rod Stewart. As it turned out it became Newton-John’s biggest American hit.
The Song of the Year was the popular song from last year “Bette Davis Eyes” by Kim Carnes and won Record of the Year.
The best song of this year was “The Message” by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. It was a popular hip-hop track and I am not a real fan of this music genre so I do not know this song. Those who are experts in this type of music can tell us all about it.
What do you think of these songs and the artists?

This song not so much, although it like the video I guess it is a decent workout song. I liked Olivia's earlier stuff "If Not For You" a beautiful song recorded by George Harrison is a real good one. Her breakthrough hit was "Let Me Be There" which became a top ten hit. She also won a Grammy Award for this 1973 tune.
