Feeling Old

When I was a kid, I used to think old people were whiny babies talking about all their aches and pains. It could be a long laundry list along with all the medications they took for said aches and pains.
I even thought the idea of weather joints was a myth.
Well, guess what. I'm in that older generation now, and it ain't no myth. Today, actually late yesterday, and I'm guessing about the time the weather system was heading into NE Wisconsin, I started feeling achy all over. I had a hard time sitting in my chair at class last night. My back was in a lot of pain. But that was all that hurt last night.
Now, move into the night. I got up a few times in the night and every time it was excruciating just walking to the bathroom and back. Every cell and fiber of my body hurt. You know something is up with the weather when you feel like you're as old as Methuselah.
I did not go to the pool this morning, and it wasn't because of the snow or lack thereof. Not much on the ground yet when I did get up, which was 6:30. Yes, I slept in, since I knew I wouldn't be going to the pool. I also stayed up later than usual last night, as I had a feeling with the way I was feeling then, I wouldn't be going anywhere.
As much as I like snow and the white blanket covering the ground at the moment, I will be very happy to see the back side of this weather system and get back to feeling normal once again.
Notifications are finished and I'm going to sit in my recliner with the massage pad on and try to relax all my aches and pains.
Are you affected by the weather? Thanks for reading.

Not the weather here but the constant working that is making my old body ache. I always said I wanted to be active when I got old and not just sit.

@andriaperry I would say you're doing what you said you would. I haven't chanced on a post where you're just sitting, unless it was waiting for Tony at the hospital.

I had a friend who was saying that "aging is suffering", I am starting to understand what he was meaning.
I have a sciatica coming back times to times, but I cannot tell if it is related to a specific weather. In 2017 it was in October, in 2016 in July... I will check the weather next time, I would be too fortunate if it was not coming back this year

So sorry for all the pains. Hope it goes away fast.
I am not, though not for my 'young' age. just haven't had any body issues for weather to hurt from.
My boyfriend does though, with his migraines; and my grandmother with her hip.

Being achy is no fun..Fortunately, thus far I am unaffected by such things..but there may come a time. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

Not really and not yet and it gets to be very changeable around here and well around a lot of places in this country that are having gale force winds and rain yet again.
Hope you feel better soon you might just be catching a bit of a cold that´s all.

I am only on my 30's but I feel old now. I cant relate with some Millennial stuff, I have a lot of health issues,I hate modern music,Things I enjoyed are gone, though I am technically counted as Millennial for some unfair reason. I am born in 1985 but I still remember things from the 80's.
I feel old too because I am starting to have a lot of health issues too.

I'm sorry you are having health issues too. You shouldn't be considered a millennial.

Yes, my joints are affected, by colder weather, especially my knees. Once it starts to warm up, my joints work a whole lot better! I will pray for your pain, God can take it away:)

We got about 10-12 inches of snow last night. When is your next weigh-in scheduled?

Valerie sorry to hear about your health problems. Yes, I am in that category and when I go to my doctor and tell him about something that happened he reminds of getting old. It is not much fun. The weather has affected my health when it goes from hot to cold and back to hot and continues that way. It is easy to get sick.

Ah yes. I, too - am affected by the weather. A dr. told me that I have arthritis. I'm sorry you have such pain. That's horrible.
I'm happy you're enjoying the snow anyway

@just4him Well, at least the snow makes everything look lighter out. :-)
Sorry, knees would be a bummer. As far as I can tell it's my feet and back where the pain is

@just4him Yeah...kind of, at times I am walking or standing purely on my will power. I am scared to drive because of that. I mean, I never know when I will have those cramps attacks. I always swallow two b complexes and two neurobion tablets on the day I have to drive and use pain relief spray upfront on days I have to drive.
