There are many people in my life from who taught me something worth which I practice today!

One of such people was my professor of surgery who would take few seconds before answering any question posed to him!
And during this time I could read his face that he is seriously thinking about the matter seriously before answering!
His answers used to be always impressive! I learnt this habit and today I practice in my life!

How about you do you answer instantly to any question posed at you or think for few seconds before answering dear friend?

Your response will be highly appreciated! Thanks!

For some questions I am very clear in my mind and the answer comes instantly. But for some I might pause a little to think about the right answer. Also it greatly depends on the situation and the person to whom you have to answer. I might take a little time to articulate my answer to best suit the person and the situation.

@AKRao24 But there are times when our own mood or mind might not be in a good shape and we mess up with wrong articulation. It has happened a few times for me. I am trying to learn from those mistakes.

Yes, I agree with you, for objective type of questions if we take time then people will never come back to talk! But in case of subjective issues we can take few seconds to think before answering ...What do you say dear @marguicha? Thanks!

@AKRao24 There are questions that require adequate answers because they are important for the people who ask them. Then I take my time.

This varies on the type of question being asked. But if the question is serious enough, then of course I need to think about my answer would be.

I agree with views completely...for any serious question I think one should take some seconds to think before answering some serious questions! Thanks @mlgen1037!

@mlgen1037 , It is always better to accept that we don't know the answer instead og giving wrong answers! I appreciate
that! Thanks!

I had the habit of reacting quick and I faced much complications later. So I realized that was not the right method, now I have much patience to keep silence or cold my tongue. I understood and realized it helps a lot to keep the peace in mind. However, still I am quick to react to my children when I am angry. Since they are my children they can understand me and no complications.
I know your topic is about answering questions - If I know the answer and I am 100 % confident then I will tell it instantly, if there is even a .1% doubt, I will take my own time to answer. If I don't know it then also I quickly tell I have no idea.
