What’s Love Got to Do With It

In the year 1985, the biggest song was “Careless Whisper” by Wham and featured George Michael. The song stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. This song was written by George Michael and band member Andrew Ridgeley when they were both 17 and was inspired by Michael’s early romantic adventures.
The Song of the Year was one of my all-time favorites “What’s Love Got to Do With It” by Tina Turner. It won Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance. It was a song a particularly related too because I was discovering the love was not all it was cracked up to be and nothing like in those romantic Hollywood movies.
The best song of this year was “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)” by Kate Bush. Since I am not familiar with this English singer-songwriters anyone who knows about this song please comment.

She is a lucky lady because she had that turbulent love life with Ike Turner managed to get away from him and launched an awesome solo career @JudyEv

I too like country music but mostly back from the days of Johnny Cash. I too have no idea about Kate Bush. I am interested in seeing how these posting will go for me because I know that I will be less familiar about the music I write about once I get into the 1990s but it is interesting for me and I love sharing with everyone here because I can see who know what about the songs I write about @Marilynda1225
