It is already in my system to come early, or on time, and though sometimes I am late for a few minutes, it is because the others come several minutes later than me.
So at 4:45PM, I left home and reached Miss FCT’s house at 5:05PM. I waited for the rest of my colleagues, only to be informed by Miss FCT that one will not come (Miss Cata) and 2 have just woken up from their afternoon sleep. The 2 promised to come at 6PM but no, one came at 7PM while the other one brought along her husband, at 7:30PM while we were already eating.
Miss FCT wanted me to eat first but I declined because I cannot eat alone b myself; so I told her that I will wait for the 2.
“The late _ _ _ _”, was what I told them when they arrived. We had some pictures taken, and then my son sent me a text message asking when I will go home. I told him ‘before 8’.
At exactly 7:45PM, I rode on a tricycle and I also texted to my son the body number of the transportation that I rode on. I arrived at 8PM.

I always make sure I'm on time as well. I hate waiting though.

@ridingbet I do my best to come on time but even the best preparation is not enough to overcome the traffic here in the city.

nobody wants to be waiting for somebody who said they are coming.i have always advised my students to be punctual, and i show that to them.
i also wonder why my colleagues are late when they are punctual when we have our duty.

@allen0187 that is one reason where we can be late- traffic. last Thursday, i arrived at the hospital just a couple of minutes before 3PM. good thing our beadle was not yet around. he was also caught in the traffic jam

traffic and sudden unavoidable circumstances or force majeure are some reasons for coming in late. how are you now, hija?

Besides the lead teacher, I am the one who arrives on time to work. It really frustrates me. I like to be early and prepare.

thank you. punctuality, like honesty, is a virtue and should not be taken for granted.

@ridingbet My father could not stand people who were not punctual. He taught to my brother and I to respect the time of others and be always punctual. I have to say that when we fix an appointment with my brother, he arrives always 5 minutes earlier but never one minute later.
