4 Days/2 Deaths

My oldest son, Carl, found out that his biological father passed away on Thursday, April 12th. Rod had been dealing with stage 4 cancer for awhile. Rod was only 63 and Carl is his only child.
Beckie, Carl's fiance lost her father yesterday, Sunday, April 15th. Gary had been down very bad since last June. On Saturday Hospice gave Gary 2 to 3 days to live. Sunday morning Beckie called Carl and said that the time span had been shortened to 2 to 3 hours.
They only have one vehicle so I had to go get Carl and take him to Beckie's parents place. It takes about 1/2 hour to get to Carl's from my place and then about an hour to get to where we had to go. We hit construction for miles on the interstate and I didn't think we would ever get there.
Gary died peacefully with family all around him.
It is strange how things happen. Four days apart from each other. Gary passed away on Carl's biological grandmothers birthday. She passed away last year.
May they all rest in peace.

@velvet53 yes he was. He was hit by an ex-cop while riding his motorcycle.

Really awful time for all of you.
Condolences to all the Families and the friends of Gary and Carl.
Such a short time between one and the other sending you all lots of hugs.

I know that kind of situation very well and how I wish they would try and find a real cure for that awful illness its so unfair to those suffering it for me.

What a sad time for your family. It will be painful for a while but time takes care of it and it lessens over the weeks and months. I hope they are both ok.

@velvet53 Some people are just selfish. They don't want to commit to a relationship or having to take care of their children.

That's rough, those two losses so close together. At least neither of them are in pain anymore, and it sounds like they both were.
