Signs of the times

Or is it times of the signs. Bad. . . I am headed to my bed, but I am taking my sign language lessons and my tablet with the app on it with me to study.
I think Monday is our mid term test.Or perhaps it is another week. I need to know and be able to sign about 180 words. Thirty words or affixes per lesson.
I know the signs pretty well. I have trouble reading them when others sign though. Part of that is because it is at the end of the day and my eyes and brain are tired.
I will try to get some extra rest this weekend. I have had a couple of car naps today. Yes, I said car naps. I always sleep in the car.

It is almost light flipping switch for me. In car, buckle up, go to sleep. Used to be the same if I tried to watch a movie on television.

It's like learning a foreign language. There is a bit of brain lag when we my interpret.
I have two languages I speak fluently. I can move seamlessly from one to the other. I don't need to grope for the word, it's there when I need it.

I am finding it harder than it was twenty years ago when I learned some signs. Arthritis is the pits.

There are many applications for it. I regret I never learned any spoken foreign language. I did study Latin.

I have learned that there is several type of sign language. This one is mostly for people who also speak or read English. It is hard to make my old hands behave.
