he Olesen family of Elgin, Illinois have had a strange relationship with lightning. Since 1899 ten members of the family have been struck and two of them have died. The family believed that this attraction may have something to do with genetics.
The chances of being struck by lightning in your lifetime is 1 in 3000.

@celticeagle It could be what they wear. I am told some clothes are more conducive to lightening passing through them.
