The day was uninspiring.

Today was an uninspiring day to receive visitors. It was chilly and I did not want to take out my warm slippers to put on some cold shoes. Claudia came with the kids and I did not mind. Luna and Sofia played and fought with each other and I talked with Claudia. But I called my friends who come on Tuesdays to move the invite for tomorrow. Hector had a very interesting invitation to listen to a speech by the Nobel Prize Mario Vargas Llosa. He was not invited with his wife, so I told Marta to come here and we´d have fun together. So Hector will bring her here tomorrow and then come to pick her up. Leticia is coming so she can help me clean up. I confess I haven´t done much cleaning after Sunday´s barbecue. I will cook a nice meal and she will do the hard work. Now that no one is coming, I can mylot in peace. I put on a huge woolen sweater and I´m happy and warm. I DO NOT like winter. Of course this is only fall, but I am preparing my bad feeling for those awful months. Which is your favorite season?

I might do that too. Practice feeling bad for when the time comes and I need it! I hope you stay nice and warm for ages yet.

@marguicha Good for you. I am taking warm clothes on our trip as Tasmania will be colder than here.

Sorry it is a cold day for you. It was over 80 here where I live but breezy but not complaining it felt good. My favorite season is summer because we get to go canoeing our favorite thing to do when it is hot out and also camping.

@Tina30219 I don´t like rain either. Here it mostly rains in winter and it is a cold rain.

My favorite season is fall, but we have very mild winters here. Fall never seems to last very long, and it stays hot too long. My least favorite season is summer, because it gets unbearably hot, too hot to go outside or do anything.

@marguicha Spring always brings us all new life, flowers, buds on trees, green grass, newborn animals:)

When I was young in my 20s, no children, I love winter best. Weekends I often just curled up in my thick blankets and read books. Lovely winter! While I had young children, I disliked winter, since the days were always shorter somehow and taking the kids to schools early in the morning or to their other activities in the late afternoon (in the dark) was so awful. Summer means extra watering the garden and doing the lawns (or pay for someone to do it). In the end, I don't know which season is my best anymore.

@marguicha Time to sing, "Those were the days my friends"
Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours And dreamed of all the great things we would...

Summer. It always have been even the I was a kid. Summer is when I can enjoy the beach a lot. Though it could really crazy hot here, staying at the beach is the best way to cool off.

I have never had issue with putting warm feet into something colder, even I don't prefer it. I hate the cold toilet seats. Now THAT gets under my skin.

Even though I feel that flip flops are my favoritte kind of feet wear, I can´t wear them if the weather is cold. I have warm woolen slippers but they are more difficult to use.

@marguicha I don't like wearing them most of the time. Generally, I only wear them when I am on the beach or at the pool. Otherwise, I don't like exposing my feet.
