1900 little dresses, and a few little purses and bags

We had fun visiting a church sale yesterday. I bought a couple of baskets and a plant. Oh and two tiny girls with their mom sold lemonade. We bought some of that. The proceeds of the sale go to their missions projects. In the fellowship hall they had a display of little simple sundresses and some crocheted bags. The sewing group at that church makes them and has sent them all over the world for missions work. For children devastated by natural disasters and afflicted by extreme poverty. I asked about them and the lady said they have made 1900 dresses and mailed them out in the last four years. This is not a large town, or a large in numbers church. I am SO IMPRESSED,

I have seen the pattern, it is free online, but then you decorate it up really cute. It is a lot like what is called a pillow case dress.

That´s wonderful! There is so much famine in some parts of the world! And the children suffer the most.

Yes, and usually it is not their fault.

@BarBaraPrz Hubby did not even look. We also went to the place called "TC's What Not Shop" which is a junktique shop with many new and used items. Old ones as well.

@GardenGerty I thought I might get some books, but there wasn't any that interested me.

That is really wonderful. Sometimes I wish I could sew better. The most I've done is crochet bonnets for prem babies. I did about 90 over about a month but I've stopped for the moment.

My sister makes a lot of crochet hats. I run out of patience after a while.

@GardenGerty I can do them without much concentration so they sort of do themselves.
