Eggs- Good Or Bad?

Very high in cholesterol and saturated fat. But these are both things our bodies need. The American Heart Association has changed its stance on the egg. They now allow one egg per day for a healthy adult diet. They have about 213 mg. of cholesterol which is about 2/3s the daily amount reccomended. They have a lot of Omega-3 and 6 fats also. Eggs are also rich in protein and a good source of riboflavin, Vitamin B12, selenium and phosphorus. Total fat is only about 24 grams.

Eggs are good, but if you want to have it daily you should avoid the yolk. Eggs provide energy. But having egg yolk daily will lead to cholesterol . I too like eggs, but I don't have always.

What the American Heart Association refuses to acknowledge is that the egg is very healthy for you. That cholesterol its high in is the good cholesterol our bodies need, not the bad. So limiting our egg consumption to just one egg a day, is stupid. I had five for breakfast this morning, and I don't have a cholesterol problem. It's one of the healthiest foods you can eat.

I eat two eggs a day. Sometimes 4 depending on the meal. My cholesterol has always been at a good level.
