How do you feel when you love someone,does not love you back?

It never happened to me, but I think it must be depressing.

I do not know - because I have felt infatuation but not really in love with anyone.

Long ago it happened and I got over it. I was on the other side of that question once too.

I can tell you it hurts. After 21 years of marriage, he told me he never loved me.

I think if it is love then it should be mutual! if it is single sided then it can be liking or infatuation! This is my very personal opinion dear friend! Thanks!

I cannot say that I've ever been in such a situation. I would imagine I would feel very defeated. But I'm glad that I've not experienced that.

I was never in this position but I think if I loved someone and they didn't love me back I'd move on.

I haven't been through this, thankfully. But feel bad for all those who have.

It s a good question!! I would like to answer it on a different perspective. Love and relation is a part of all relationship. I feel bad with my mother-in-law. My father in law reciprocated well to me with same love and acceptance and we shared a great bond. I really miss him as he passed away recently. My mom in law stay with me for 8 months in a year. She is still indifferent towards me and my one sided love and care for her. It has been long 18 years and I am still waiting for a good response from her. It hurts!!

I had many admirers and still do who loved me, but I did not love them back!! I may have loved a few, but there was a lot of hesitations and reasons why I didn't!!!

Oh wow. Good for you that you haven't had this. It's terrible. It makes you feel unworthy. Unlovable. Like you're not good enough. In reality all it means is that you're not a good match for that person
