This noon my colleague went to a vegetarian buffet restaurant. It is a nice restaurant with beautiful environment. And hard to believe that having the vegetarian buffet even charges higher than the normal buffet as usually the meats shall be much more expensive than vegetables.
I must say that their vegetarian food also makes like meats as you can see from the pictures. I can't really tell it is not a steak

I often eat in a vegetarian restaurant before because my friend owns one in the mall, her son is a classmate of my son, I agree, they look like real meat because it's tvp or texturized vegetable protein made from soya similar to tofu. Other products that look like meat are made from mushrooms. Here the meals are cheaper compared to meat.

My daughter and I have been trying to eat more vegetarian meals since we are trying to prepare in case we go visit friends in India, but neither of us have liked dishes prepared with tofu and my daughter dislikes dishes prepared using mushrooms.
I have a feeling we will semi-starve while in India!
I hope I am joking about that!

I wondered about it being vegetarian when I looked at your picture(s), youless. Many of the items look like their meaty counterparts.
Yes, many vegetarian meals cost more than the non-veg ones simply because of the time and trouble it takes to make them look, smell and taste like the non-veg options... (Mushrooms can cost much more than meat but can have the same mouth-feel as meat.)

@youless I know that is true, but have you not noticed, when mushrooms are called for in any vegetarian dish, the cooks can only seem to use the most expensive ones on the market? (grinning and teasing you!)

I just noticed the reply from @louievill and I think his description is right. Many food are made from soya products.

Oh wow I hope we have that here. I wouldnt mind if it is more expensive, as long as it is delicious and healthy.

@youless I think it is because they are organic? Are they organic or natural made vegetables?

Everything is so colorful! That would be so much fun to go to. Yeah I would assume a buffet like that would be more expensive since veggies themselves are crazy expensive.

@youless I think it is because they do have to do a lot of labor to harvest vegetables and also the fact that they just want to keep people fat haha
