Poetry: The river of life is only as long as there is water in it.

The windingness of each river gives it its uniqueness as itself

The river of life is a long one, when it is short. This means that it ought to be long, but is short, not caught. The love in us all only has a ball when you do, and yet life, to be lived, is neither short nor long, it’s just life. Life and death are not one, because love has no death. The river runs into the sea, but they are not one either. Nothing in life is one; it’s all individually alive, and yet the oneness of love pervades each part of it all. Time is the water of love running through us as life. We are all streams full of love’s water, living untimed. Making noise as you flow along as yourself in life, silences the flowing of the true noiseless running of love. We should share our own river with others needing water. To reach the ocean requires an immensity of love flowing. Anything can change your life, including the river's waters, and yet only love can make its water in you, really you as you. Hi Steve. That is deep and meaningful. I guess, It is like that windmill wherein we give air to others just like the river that gives off water to others who need it.

Your windmill example is also a good one. If we fill up ourselves with hot air, we become pompous and ego-driven, but if we share of our air, or our knowledge, or our own views of truth, we give life, to others, just as much as air and water do too.

@mlgen1037 Yes, I guess love would not be complete without its being shared. Love is the glue that connects God's world together.

@innertalks Thank you, Steve. Sharing is loving and it gives us more purpose. As love is to be shared with others, we learn to to give.

Nice poem, Steve, spreading the need for love in our thoughts and actions. Beautiful analogy too with water and river. A love-filled life makes all the difference and sharing the love with our own input and gratitude adds to the whole in geometric progression. Our lives will be empty without the ingredient of love and it costs nothing but the returns are immeasurable - siva

Thanks siva. You have said it very well. Love and sharing love makes our lives complete, and the returns are infinite, as you also said.

@Shiva49 Yes, and it's love and sharing that give extra colour to our sceneries too for us, as we go through our lives.

@innertalks Love and sharing it is the very basic, the rest are more of fleeting sceneries in our journey - siva

Thankyou. I agree love is always the answer, but then again, why do we have questions? Love prises us loose from our being stuck to life's questions, and love gets us moving past the last answers too, to itself. When we live in love, answers and questions do not seem so relevant, as they come to us, when and if required.

@dgobucks226 Yes, would we become complacent and less inquisitive if we lived fully from the contentment of love? Nearly everyone says this, we are meant to be inquisitive, and if we knew it all, we would be complacent, but is this really true, or not? Complacency never exists in love. It is a fear thing of not wanting to produce the energy to love fully, and loving fully is the only way to experience fullness in life, and natural curiosity, inquisitiveness, and instincts of intuitional ability are only satisfied fully by seeing love's lesson within these experiences, and learning, and growing, from them, and moving on further in our way up the consciousness ladder that God has given to us all to climb.

@innertalks Yes, that is an interesting interpretation of love and life. I wonder if it affects and diminishes man's need to be inquisitive? Perhaps the contentment of love provides all the answers we really need to life.
