I did almost nothing online yesterday

I hope you missed me. I was barely here. This is a long narrative post about my day. At 7:30 I left for my sister's house. Arrived on time, we left for her appointment that was scheduled for 9:30. We were about two minutes late. Of course there was paperwork. With all of her talking and not being prepared she took an hour to do it all. It was only three pages, most of it was circling things. When she was called back to be seen we again had her life story repeatedly. She is almost 74 so there is a lot she chooses to tell. They took dental impressions, and also asked her some questions that could have been "yes, no" but in her case were not. Like " your uppers seem off center, do you want that fixed?" she said "it has been that way for twenty or more years, so no, leave it. It may be from my deviated septum from my ex beating me up for thirty years." I said it much shorter than she did. "Your uppers and lowers meet, do you want us to fix that so they fit correctly?" she said "no, that is how they are supposed to fit." The dentist came in to talk about options, and eventually gave up. He talked to me briefly, and also showed me something on her upper gums that concerned him, because she kept talking, constantly and not listening to him. They needed to keep her plates for the lab to set up and pour her new teeth, for a while. She would not go anywhere without them, but my blood sugar needed lunch. Eventually she got her old dentures, and we found a good place to eat. It was a nice lunch. Then the adventure began. I had directions, I thought, to a garden center I wanted to visit. We got lost. The dental lab is in a part of Wichita that has streets that change names and curve this way and that and go back and forth across the river. There was a festival happening in down town as well. We drove around for an hour and a half. I got directions from a postal person, but must have missed something. My sister was talking while she tried to explain. Later we saw a woman walking a dog by a veterinary. We stopped. She was from Iowa. She said her daughter lived in Wichita, and she was lost the day before and that the police found her. She called her daughter and handed the phone to me. While I tried to tell her daughter where we were, Iowa lady and my sister talked loudly and randomly. The daughter gave me directions I knew were wrong, because she was directing me to a street that was no where near. I told her "thank you" and gave the phone back. I knew the place I needed to turn. I knew I had missed it a time or two because I could not get in the correct lane. It is hard to deal with heavy traffic and a talker telling me to go another way. About the time I managed to make the correct turn, the dentist called to say the dentures were done. I did not go back to try the teeth in the back room with my sister. Eventually she called me, mad and upset. The lowers did not fit right, and hurt, and they were cutting them down. She said the girl could not understand her. They gave her the correct overbite of upper over lower. She was angry. I calmed her down. Told the girl that she had asked for them the other way. It was not written the other way on the work order. By that time the lower plate was reshaped, fit right and did not hurt. She was assured she could come back if they started giving her trouble. The lab did a nice job. The teeth look good. The top fits perfectly. My sister talks constantly about things that do not relate to what she needs to say about things. Consequently people ignore her and tune her out or they do not get to explain things to her. The way her teeth come together now is how they are supposed to be. I think she will like them. It was almost 8:00 pm. when I got home last night. I have responded to more than ten discussions this morning, before posting this. I hope to get stuff done today, and see more of you.
