Keeping Those Bothersome Ants Out

With spring came the ants. It seems that each year they find their way in. It's like clock work. I have found some ways to keep them at bay and wanted to share them with you: * Close up all openings. Caulk doors, windows and cracks that they can crawl through. * Remove scent trails by cleaning surfaces with distilled white vinegar. Ant's hate the smell. Lemon juice also works. * You can also clean surfaces with peppermint oil, then clean off the surfaces with a clean damp cloth. * Spices and herbs such as cinnamon, mint, black pepper, cayenne pepper, bay leaves and even cloves of garlic sprinkled around your homes foundation or left in containers in drawers and cupboards will keep ants away too. * Sprinkle used coffee grounds around holes, cracks and the outside of your house. Ants don't like the smell.
