A way to get rid of your weeds

I have been having some success pouring boiling water on the weeds on the path. You have to do it more than once but it does kill them and it's a good way of getting rid of the excess boiling water when you boil the kettle for a cup of tea. I learnt to do this while my hand was out of action as I couldn't pull. I will not be giving up the habit of of course you can't use it on the flower bed if you have plants as you would kill them too. I tried salt on the path weeds on the path outside my house but I got a bit worried about that because it can affect the concrete.

Might give that a try. Safer than weedkiller when you have cats!!

If you add salt to the boiling water it even works better. We sprinkle salt on the concrete in winter (to melt the ice) it causes no damages.

Oooh, I like this idea! So simple. But there is something satisfying about pulling up weeds, if you can do it.

I bought some very strong weed killer here, but haven't got the time to do anything yet. I will try your tip next time
