Yep. That's what's outside m' door right about now.
2 AM on a damp Tuesday morning.
Rained fer sev'ral hours and the tree frogs are whooping it up out there.
And a few late lightning bugs are flickering in the side yard (they're usually sleeping about now).
And a pair of slugs crawling on the side of the house.
Why Scar wants to be out in that, I don't know.
But I'm sitting here, and I have coughee, so life is good.

Three kinds of animals in question all love the wet.I don't think Scar is interested in them.

@JolietJake okay, we do have a lot of snails, the one with the pointed shell, but i also see a lot of those black finger-length ones that also leave a trail. i'm blanking out on what it's called.

Good morning. I have never seen a tree frog over here although I daresay we get them, plenty of slugs though in the wet weather. I think we call lightning bugs fireflies here although I don't remember seeing them either.

I miss seeing lightening bugs out in the woods! Since the city hired a company to spray for mosquitoes, we have no June bugs, lightening bugs, or bees anywhere. Even the honey bees are gone!

You have a few visitors, JJ. Scar might want a few companions.

Is it the tree frogs, the lightning bugs, the slugs or Scar that's keeping you awake?
What keeps me awake in the Spring/Summer months are the crickets.

Dang, I've never seen a lightnin bug for real, only in movies and stuff.
I only get to see ,or rather hear, frogs in one of our wet years when we get a few flash floods. I've only seen 2 of em though.

Don't talk about frogs, or other bugs to me right now. I have been reading the fifth book of the Dark Tower series and one part of it is where a woman is eating frogs and bugs raw.
Yeah Lily was wanting to go outside this morning. But I kept her in because it's supposedly a rainy day today.
