Can I have your number?

I met my grandmother's sister-in-law when I went to my Uncle's funeral in Mindanao. She's 83 years old with a very sharp mind and still looking great at that age. She and I became talking buddies and we talked about her past, how she raised 9 children and turned them all into successful professionals and entrepreneurs.
I was humbled by her experiences and at the same time motivated to do more and make more than what I have now.
When it was time for me to leave and flew back home, she felt a little sad. And she said, "Can I have your number?"
I don't know if she will ever call me or when we will meet again. But I sure do hope that the next time we meet, it's not because of some sad events.

@JustBhem her children, mom's cousins, and my second cousins are planning to visit us though. I've been invited by my aunt to visit them again in August because it's harvest time in her rambutan farm. She has no plans of selling her harvest. She said we shall just eat and consume all the harvests and give them away.
I hope I could go again though.

Oh, maybe a call from her will do.

She sees me as her grandchild. She's my mother's aunt after-all.

@LadyDuck They were really quite intrigued how we get to where we are now without our parents and adults supervising us.
I'm glad that we could inspire them.

@toniganzon It is hard to lose both parents in young age, I understand they were inspired by your story.

@toniganzon I think that it's somewhat in our genes to do the right things.

Yeah but I actually don't expect her to. She's 83 and she may have forgotten she has my number already.

She has 9 children. They're all really great aunts and uncles, very successful in their lives. I'm proud of them.
I don't think I remind her of any of her children.
