Learn To Say No

I think that there are a lot of really kind hearted and good people on Mylot. We all want to help where we can in our lives. Community and home. But, how many of us get roped in to doing things we don't really want to do? Going places we don't want to go? Sure, it is nice to do so occasionally but, when we are doing it all time how does that give us time to do the things we want to do for ourselves? I think we sometimes need to learn to say NO. Practice saying no. Is this something you might do in your life?

Yes, and that has been our problem because sometimes when he takes favor or task, I was left alone.

I completely agree with you as we need to learn to say NO. As, with that we can take out some time for those things which we really wants to do in my life.

That happened to me TOO MANY times, because I'm a very shy person. I must to improve myself with that... really learning to say NO when it doesn't feel right to me (about anything..)

I learned to say no a long time ago. I am very good at saying it to everyone but my kids, when they need me or want me I never say no, lol

Yes it is truly liberating and quite shocking to people when you learn to start saying NO. People can and do take advantage of you so they are floored when you do say no. I learnt that a few years ago but I choose when I am going to help someone as it is not just a one way street!

I agree sometimes im too nice and people want to take advantage and ask to borrow money and favors for free and lately iv just been saying no. Im tired of worrying and looking out for people who wont return the favor

I'm way too nice, and help people all the time, but I don't do anything I don't want to do. So I do say no, when it's needed.
