The moment I opened the door and felt that “brick oven pizza restaurant” blast (at 9:30 in the morning, mind you) the temptation was to simply turn around and go back inside. Alas, there’s therapy today, so I knew I’d have to endure the heat.
Yesterday evening it was about the same, but I found relief in the park. I went to Cherokee Park, which has a 2 1/2-mile driving loop through the park. It’s a nice break from the city. And, on hot days, it’s a nice break from the heat as well.

Glad you were able to find relief in the park, but it's hot everywhere.

The park is a great escape when the temperatures are unbearable.
