Meatloaf on the Grill

Normally, when it comes to meatloaf, my wife is relegated to that job. But tonight I decided to make a meatloaf on the grill, so since she is out shopping with my Mom, I decided to make a meatloaf that I will toss on the grill. I cooked up some onions and tossed those in. Then I added some Rupena's beef and pork seasoning, some oregano, some basil, some garlic powder and a few other ingredients. I have the grill fired up and ready to go. I think it should turn out just fine. I have a plan to slather some BBQ sauce on top just before it is done. If I can keep the grill at around 350 degrees it should be done in about an hour. Yummy stuff is on the way. Man, I LOVE summer grilling and I LOVE to go outside the box.

Oh no. It's so easy to make and tastes delicious. Normally it goes in the oven but I just had to try something different with it this time around.

@caopaopao It turned out way better than I had hoped. I am beginning to think anything tastes good grilled. Well, maybe not a cheesecake.

@caopaopao Eventually did wind up smoking one of these, and it was even better than the one I did on the grill. Reminds me, I am due to do another one very soon.

DELICIOUS! As I recall. It was a while ago, of course. Even smoked one finally eventually and it was even better than the grilled one. Good eats for sure.

I'm sure your meatloaf will be delicious. I've never tried grilling a meatloaf but lately I've seen more and more things being cooked on the grill including pizza

@porwest I never ate meatloaf on the grill. What does it taste like? I have had it from the oven and I read that I can make it in my slow cooker but so far have not done it yet.

@Hannihar Nah. Works just like it would in the oven. So long as you prepare it right as you would for the oven, it holds up as solid as a regular meatloaf would.

Tastes the same as in the oven with just a hint of that grilled, smoky flavor. It turned out very good. I have never tried it in the crockpot either.
