Not surprised with this news

I have dealt with nuns and their cold attitude towards me when I took the whole responsibility to entertain those poor kids year after year during Christmas time. The money was never given to them but I personally spent it on the children giving them a great time. If I had handed over that money to them I wonder if those kids got even a spec of what I had doled out.
And so when I heard this news that nuns got arrested because they sold children I was not surprised,

That is how a well intentioned set up gets a bad name.

@allknowing unfortunately with the usual mob mentality and false news propogatiom that is rampant in India the entire organisation will face violence and shut down.

@pitstop I am afraid of that. The present government is against all other religions except Hinduism and lynching is totally ignored.

I have been dealing with nuns and priests and have closely watched them. They are not to be trusted (lol)

@allknowing Very true. It's hard to know who you can trust nowadays.

This is the case of a few rotten apples spoiling the whole basket.

The Institute is bearing the consequences now. The present government as it is does not think well of any other religion barring Hindus and I just watched on tv that the kids have been shifted to a government set up.

Oh, for the love of money's sake! Anyway, it's kind of you to be involved in treating children during Christmas time.

I am going to reserve judgment until all the facts are collected. But if it was selling children it was bad. But if the mother gave up the child and they found a family for it, then this is not so bad, the money could help many others. I want to know where the money went. If it was used to provide food and care for others, then it is less offensive than if it went into one nun's bank account.

Oh, wow! That is such a shame!
I suppose it could be worse, though... (I am thinking about the mass grave found with newborns and young children in Ireland in 2014. At least there was no suspicion of foul play with the infants in Ireland.)

Unless there is concrete proof it would not be wise to come to any conclusion as the real culprits will get away whoever they are.
