Diary Wednesday 11th July 2018 An unexpected extra day of voluntary work activity, though this was just filling in survey forms on how we thought our volunteering activity went over the last 12 months, for which we had a lovely buffet lunch including strawberries and fresh cream. Diary Thursday 12th July 2018 A lot of job searching activity and shopping today, but the weather was mercifully beginning to cool down after the dreadful humid heatwave experienced over several weeks. It actually rained in the night too. Hooray. Diary Friday 13th July 2018 A friend gave a talk on her years in mental health nursing for the local community centre. Much of her work was in Wales, with a later transfer to Preston. She shared lovely anecdotes. One senior nurse would complain and scold staff if uniforms were in dissaray. She even turned on one poor nurse after she lost her hat when trying to stop a full scale food fight that had erupted with a ward full of patients. The senior nurse was more worried by the missing hat than the huge clean up operation needed on the ward. Edith, now retired, looks back on her work with great nostalgia. Much of Britain is protesting the President Trump visit to the UK, though Preston has no specific public events going on at present. Diary Saturday 14th July 2018 A quiet day in catching up on my writings, job searching, processing pub sign photos, etc. It is starting to heat up again after a few days respite from the cruel heat. Great funny protest song - Youtube The Trump Beatles - Give Teachers Guns Arthur Chappell
Mr. Trump has written this song to explain his very non-controversial and stable ideas. It is called "Give Teachers Guns" because Mr. Trump likes to be very ...

That nurse sounds like those fanatics who only care about the formal aspect of their tasks and do not care at all of the patients. Very funny video, unfortunately not very funny character.

I have read about the protest in UK. It really shows how people hate him.

@Jessabuma the protests went well. It is good that we have them, just not good that we need to

I remember when the nursing profession was very particular about crossing 't's' and dotting 'i's'.
