While we were going to Algarrobo with my friends yesterday, I asked them why didn´t they go to Aruba with me next year. None of us knew about the price of the air fare so I decided I´d check today.
As many of you know, there are all kinds of fares, depending on the company and on the seat. I always choose a reasonable company and an economic seat.
The 2 way trip was around US$750 including all airport taxes. I don´t think that is is too expensive. I have there a timeshare and it holds 4 people in an apartment with a good kitchen.
Any of you owns a timeshare? Where? I have been having vacations for over 20 years thanks to that.

Aruba sounds like the perfect place for a timeshare. You made a good decision I think.
I never thought about a timeshare

It is a wonderful way to have vacations in nice places at an affordable price.

@Marilynda1225 Usually a vacation is very expensive, unless you can accept not so good lodgings. Timeshares mean very good lodgings for an affordable price.

Maybe you should buy one at Cozumel if you like it so much

@marguicha We stay at a condo complex. The condos start at $450,000 and I think the maintenance is $1000 a month. They don't do time shares. I would like to buy a house on the island when I retire. We shall see!

@NJChicaa The maintenance in my apartment is more expensive. I only have a week there. But when I bought the week, I only paid US 7,000 in five years. It was next to nothing. Now it is more expensive of course.

I have never been to Aruba or ever had a timeshare.

I love the Caribbean for its climate. And in Aruba, they don´t have hurricanes as in other islands.
