I Fought the Yawns

But the yawns won. I had a nice three hour nap. I must have been tired. I woke with a tune on my mind - I fought the law, but the law won, only it was I fought the yawns, but the yawns won. I really thought I would make it through the morning without a nap. I wasn't tired when I got home from shopping, and I wasn't tired when I finished breakfast. I was almost through the notifications when it happened. Not just one yawn, not even a small nondescript yawn, but a big wide mouth yawn, several of them, and I knew I had to close down or fall asleep on the keyboard. I was surprised to open my eyes three hours later. It sure didn't feel like three hours. But that's what the clock showed. I did find out from my friend, I won't be doing anything with her today. I messaged her early on FB. She does something interesting, and asked if I would like to join her. She gets information from a website from people who want to know where their family is buried. So, she looks up the information, goes to the cemetery, takes a picture of the headstone, and sends that information to the person. It's all volunteer. When she first asked me a month or so ago, I was intrigued, and told her yes. Many years ago when I was young and not quite as mature as I am now, I was in Boot Camp, on what was called Boot Liberty in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I had a lot of fun exploring the city. One thing I did, was visit old churches and cemeteries. The headstones were fascinating, many of them pre-dating the Revolutionary War. So, when she asked if I would like to join her, I told her yes. One of these days, I'll do that with her, but not right now. She over exerted herself on Saturday, and is looking at surgery by the end of the month. She just had neck surgery a couple months ago. Now, it looks like she aggravated her neck and back, re-injuring it. Anyway, that said, I'll be staying home today, working notifications, and then getting work done on Thread of Evidence. I hope to start the publishing process by the weekend. Though, I won't get anything done, if I keep writing this post. I hope you've had a good day so far. Thanks for reading.
