Life is not bad without a mobile phone

My phone was so disturbing and no one can reach me through phone at present. On first day I felt I was missing something while leaving from home to office but now I become habitual. All of a sudden many started to tell me that my phone was not getting through ( they called me up)? When my phone was alright no one wanted to call me so it is not my mistake. However, for some purpose a mobile phone is mandatory. Hubby promised me to buy a new phone, don’t know when? According to you what are the advantages and disadvantages for not having a mobile phone?

I do not use my mobile for other purposes except calling and texting. So no earning through mobile phone. I agree, I saved much time for checking whatsapp's crap

Advantage is your family and friends can be contacted during an emergency. Disadvantage is family and friends can contact you anytime and we cannot be left alone.

@Sreekala I try not using the mobile on weekends. Those very close to me have my land-line number and can contact me anytime.

The contacts are important as we lost the habit of keeping a manual list of contacts. Earlier I had a small pocket book of keeping the contacts.

Haha yes it's really better when we don't have a mobile phone, we can enjoy our life without connecting to people and we can enjoy ourselves without the Internet which always keeps us busy in online relationships while we forget the real relationship. Once I switched off my mobile for one month and I can't explain in my words that how much I enjoyed it was really peaceful and calm and relaxing. But yes it's a need now a days so if we are tired of having a smartphone we can either try to switch to a simple phone like a keypad one where we can just take calls and text messages.

Yes, dear, however on returning to mobile and whatsapp, many asked me whether I was out of whatsapp? It created so many confusions among people too. (I am in charge of a children's organization and deputed some extra responsibilities on meghala level and they called me and I was not available either on phone or in whatsapp). I am not an addicted person on mobile either, using only for the important needs. I agree a phone is required in our day to day need to get connect with people.

If we don't have a mobile phone Advantage: We don't need to be busy taking care of people who call us. Disadvantage: We cannot communicate with people all over the world.

I mostly use my iPhone for photo taking and video chatting with my relatives from other countries. I don't mind to have a free day without a phone. It gives me time to do other things like gardening.

I think cellphones are very important for us, because with cellphones we can contact them far away and can surf the internet with our cellphones

Yes, we all are thinking like that only. But leave you phone one day or two and see how you feel and how you can cope with your life. I do agree, for communication mobile phone is necessary for us.

Advantages you have yo you to yourself and you don't have to worry who calls you or who doesn't.... disadvantages you are left out and even if people need you urgently they can't get to you.

For me, It`s hard not having a mobile phone because it`s part of our life since we needed close communications with our families while they`re out somewhere, friends and relatives too

No phone bills. Honestly I hardly use it. So no great disadvantage for me. I don't use phone as much either. So only when I have to buy insurance and call the agent, or follow up with a tenant or advocate, it serves some purpose. Otherwise, it is of little use to me.

Good, you are lucky to save some money in that account. For me, when I am in office, I can check whatsapp, which is connected through wifi, otherwise no net work in mobile. However, I know my siblings especially my younger sister is worrying on me.

In this fast-paced world, we need a mobile phone, especially during emergency situations. I can't leave home without my mobile phone because what if I get stranded somewhere, etc. The only disadvantage for me is the radiation that it emits and I get addicted to it sometimes.

I do not have Android, so my phone serves only for calls and messages, and my family only has family members. So it goes on for a few days that nobody calls me.
