Many people are in the habit of sleeping with their mobile under the pillow and check for messages or emails at night. i have colleagues who reply to official emails at 2 and 3 am. I ensure I keep the mobile closeby so that i hear the alarm in the morning but I ensure I dont check it at nights.

I do not even keep the mobile phone in the bedroom. People should be more careful with those devices, it's not good for their health.

@kepweng YES! There is a cancer warning. Cancer risk increases if you sleep with your phone near your head.

That is a very bad habit. My daughter also very often sleeps while surfing the net or else playing games on the mobile.

That's not a very healthy habit. May be you should keep it on a table close by.

I keep my mobile downstairs on my desk. The only time it's in the same room with me is when I'm traveling.

I use mobile phones during night times but I don't keep mobile phones under my pillow. If I was sleeping, my mobile would be in charging mode.

It is healthy to keep the mobile a few feet away from us at night if possible. Its dangerous keeping it under the pillow.

Not a very healthy habit. I keep it close by where I can reach for it if it rings but I ensure I don't keep checking it the whole night.

Usually I put my mobile phone 2 meters from my bed. I also checked a few messages and was given a distance of 25cm.

Its not a good habit of checking messages at night. Am sure if there is something very urgent a person will call you instead of messaging you.

At night, hubby and I always check on our mobile phones and even watch funny videos from it. After which, I place my cellphone at the far end of the foot of our bed. I turn off its wifi and close all apps. Hubby can't be told, to have it far from him because he places it at the lampshade table of his side of the bed.

@SIMPLYD Not many people are aware that mobiles do emit some rays that may be dangerous for us.

I really try my best to not use my phone during bed time. mostly all the time I leave my mobile devices on my desk in my room, or on my shelf or bench or in my pants pockets. so that I can remember where I put them when I wake up in the morning.

That is a very good habit. Too many people nowadays keep using their phones in the middle of the night too. Cannot understand why.

Yes, I have this habit of checking my mobile phone at night -- to check whether there are new messages from the jobs I have applied online. Also, I check my social media account (Facebook and Instagram) to check my business pages for notifications, etc.

Does not that disturb your sleep? It's not healthy to be checking mobile at night.
