About a week ago someone dumped off a baby kitten across the street where no one lives. It was crying so loudly and was so heart wrenching to hear.
I went over and it was hiding under a pine tree and wouldn’t come to me. I left it food and water and refilled it the next day.
The past few days my parents have been grinding up hot dogs and leaving it for the kitten.
My father told my niece and nephew if they caught it they could keep it. Well the grandson of the man who used to own the home caught the cat and took it to them.
While my sister went to town to buy a litter box it had an accident in the pet carrier and my 13 year old niece said the cat stinks and she doesn’t want it anymore. So they called us the animal lovers.
I said I’d take it until so find it a home. Growing attached as soon as I held it. My boyfriend was allergic recently to the cat he got and I have a parrot so we cannot keep this!
I gave it a bath and then it had diaherrea all over my daughter. I took it out in the grass and it happened again. I can’t have it in my house risking my old cat whose been vomiting getting more sick.
I put it out in my kids old playhouse with food and water and a little crate with a blanket for it to curl up on. We checked it every hour or more.
My boyfriend took my dog home with him today and about 7 I went out to get her and hung out there with my boyfriend and his friends for a few hours. I’ve never been invited to do this before so it was nice and I had a fun time. I don’t usually drink but I did enjoy 3 twisted teas very slowly so as not to catch a buzz.
Photo is of the kitten.

@LadyDuck Not all that good for people, either, in my opinion...

@BarBaraPrz This is possible, not the best food for a kitten. I just checked, hotdogs are not safe for cats, you are right.

@caopaopao It is so small and just all bones. I am glad we got it when we did. I don't think it would have survived alone much longer it is deathly skinny.

@Courtlynn my niece and nephew are allergic to cats and dogs so even if she had been more mature and could have handled caring for it they would have suffered with their allergies. I have a bird, cat and dog and their eyes get red swollen and itchy when they come to my home.

@JohnRoberts when we pet it the first time it melted in our hands so I think it really wanted to be loved. It seems to be enjoying living in my yard here and my kids adore it but I hope to find it a loving home.

@snowy22315 aww that is so sweet of you sister. I have had three strays I took in over the years. With my parrot I don't want to risk taking a kitten in they will try their hardest to get at it it's just their nature to hunt. My cat that is 16 is so old she doesn't care about my parrot at all.

It is such a cute kitten. I hate that it is so sick. I wonder how long it has been since it ate anything? It looks old enough to eat cat food.
I am glad you had fun with your bf.

It did eat cat food but it was just so skinny. I wish I had given it formula as soon as I got it to my property then maybe it would have lived.

@allknowing I can only put food and water out for it that isn't doing much care. I would to bring it in and give it a nice home but with my boyfriend being allergic and having a parrot I can't. I am trying to fatten it up and find it a loving home.

@shaggin i feel so sad when i read, even on Facebook, about the demise of dogs and cats, and anger if they die due to cruelty of man

He really is such a cute cat. I don't look at all cats and think that but this one really is adorable. It is so calm and sweet too. I hope t find it a home. Whoever winds up with it will be lucky to have such a good cat! For me it seems to enjoy living outside our house. My kids adore it and are going to have a hard time parting with it but they know we can't keep it and I would rather it live inside someone's home.
