Do you cry in your sleep?

I did, just a few nights ago. I woke up in the middle of the night with tears streaming down my face and I remembered my dream so I cried more. I allowed myself to cry for a few more minutes coz I just needed to release that sorrow I had in my heart. What was the dream? I found out my mother was still alive and she was living in a condo with my father and working on some business that I didn't have a clear knowledge what kind. One of my sisters was aware of that fact and she told me in a casual way, "why didn't you google her? If you googled mom then you would have known." I felt hurt that she and my father abandoned us, and I was just 13! And they were living together without thinking of their children. It hurts, it really hurts. But yeah, it was only just a dream. But I think I wouldn't care if they abandoned us. Just to see them both alive again would make me so happy. And I'm getting teary eyed as I type this discussion. I have to stop here.

Well you are there for your future so I know she will be ok. It's much better these days coz there's video call. She will always know you are there.

i do cry sometimes in my sleep. i wake up sobbing. i do laugh also. i try to recall the dreams i have when i wake up. if i dream about either my mother or my father, i see them happy. i am sorry but i know you are a strong-willed person. but do you believe that the success you are enjoying now, is the result of being left by your parents at the tender age of 13? pardon me, but i am not sure if it is you whose parents were killed? i hope others too have that strength like you.

Yes my parents were killed. I think I would still be successful and I believe even much more if my parents were alive.

I had a dream my mother was killed in an accident, but in my mind I hope it's not real and after I woke up my mother was still alive.

@toniganzon I can't imagine what you have experienced since being leave by both parents, every day have to do all household chores, including cooking, without the help of adults.

@May2k8 My parents didn't leave. They were killed. And we had maids to take care of those.

You are fortunate to have her with you alive. Both my parents were killed when I was 13.

I rarely dream, not sure why. I am sorry you had such an upsetting dream and it stirred up those emotions @toniganzon . Lately I am reminding myself to breathe and live in the moment.

My mom's birthday is coming on the 25th I guess that triggered the dream. I am just missing my parents. I wish they were still alive though.

@toniganzon your mom's birthday coming up could definitely have triggered the dream. I am sorry that both your parents have passed.

Yes, it happens to me. Even my Brother noticed me one time sobbing while I was sleeping. And sometimes when I wake up I didn't remember what was the dream.

I always remember my dreams, most especially the bad ones even when I was a kid. And I've read about how to remember dreams. So I always kept that in mind.

@toniganzon Sometimes I do remember them but very small details. Most of my bad dreams are regarding the boyfriend having an affair or he ignores me.

Let's hope you won't. The dream isn't the worse though. The reality is. My parents were murdered.

Me too. Sorry about you losing both parents at one go. They did not abandon you. They did such splendid job and equipped you well before leaving as per god's will. I did cry once. There was this building that was burning and I wanted to help, and there was this child holding on to my leg. If I'd left, the child would be helpless, and inside there were many burning and I could hear their screams...it was kind of dilemma. Yes, I remember that dream rather vividly. I also remember a dream in which my mother gave me a barbie doll that wore navy blue dress. The doll had a broken leg. But even so I was happy to get it, because my mother hand given it to me, and she had never given me a doll. I was more into mechanical toys.

@toniganzon I did not mean it that way. :( I meant even post life, they ensured that you could go on. And that is a lot of trauma for a 13 year old. The way you have turned out, I am sure they would be really proud of you.

No. I don't give much meaning to dreams. They're simply dreams. I think I'm just missing my mom coz it's her supposed birthday on the 25th.

Think of it this way, they are with each other, and they constantly watch you & your family from a place where there is no suffering ever. (A place where there is no dementia, no forgetfulness, no need of dentists or doctors, no aging, etc.)
