This morning I had a small kitchen mishap when boiling eggs for today's church picnic offering. I made tuna salad.
I turned on the wrong burner. The back burner had a small casserole dish sitting on it. I mistakenly turned that one on. After a bit, I thought I heard the eggs boiling and went to check, and realized I had the wrong burner on. I turned it off and turned the front one on, and went into my office to continue working on the Daily Bible Study. I had no sooner stepped into my office when the casserole dish exploded in a shower of glass. I was out of the way, though I was barefoot. I don't wear shoes in the house. I had to pick my way through the glass to the broom to get it swept up.
I no longer have a casserole dish, but I'm not hurt in any way either. God is good! All the glass is swept up and the stove taken care of. All I need to do is bring out the vacuum cleaner after I get home today and go over all the floors to make certain there isn't any glass anywhere.
Time for me to leave. Have a great Sunday.

How lucky that you weren't standing there when the dish shattered. Yes, God is good!
Enjoy your church picnic

@just4him I've had a dish shatter too and shards of glass were everywhere. Crazy scary isn't it

@Marilynda1225 Yes, it was. I was more scared that I would cut up my feet since I was barefoot and had to step through the glass to get to the broom but didn't, and that was a blessing.

Oh wow, a blessing that you didn't get hurt. As for the dish? Lots of nice ones at thrifts, I was tempted when I was at thrift stores to pick one up.... but - I already have some.

Yes, he is. I'm blessed beyond measure for his faithfulness last Sunday.

I sometimes do things like this. Once I cooked porridge. I thought I had turned off the fire. Actually, I didn't. By the time I went to see it, the porridge I cooked had been dried.

Glad you weren't heard and I can relate to turning the wrong burner on. Of course it was cooked food that ended up being burned food.
