22 seconds to upload MyLot. The Humanity!

I haven't had any error messages today, but it's still taking be about 22 seconds to upload something on MyLot when I first sign on. Going to new posts yields similar results...but not all the time. Have you had slow uploads speeds here? Or are all of the Large Breasted Asian Hotties I've been contacting somehow plugging up my computer? I have a female friend who is not allowed to go potty Chez Horse because she always plugs up my toilet. But that's another matter. Anyway, I deleted my cookies, deleted my browsing history, and am still having the same issues. Am I the only one?

I had a devil of a time getting that picture of the Norris Dam uploaded, but I attribute that to shoddy wi-fi/internet connection (given that I’ve been in the Smokies most of the day) instead of a myLot problem.

I'll go check it out. It wasn't up yet when I read your post. Right now I'm jumping from comment to comment just fine.

Loading a discussion found with Explore is relatively fast for me. Checking a response or a comment found in the notifications seems always longer, and I get a loading error times to times. My connection is reasonably fast. Another weird thing that I am noticing now : a ping to myLot does not work...

@TheHorse It helps to evaluate how fast is a network to respond.
The ping command sends packets of data to a specific IP address on a network, and then lets you know how long it took to transmit that data and get a response. It’s a handy tool that you can use to quickly test various points of your network. Here’s how to

@The Horse , I did struggle to get two discussions out and had to edit in the photo on my last one because it didn't load, but all seems fine today. In your case it could be the Hotties though, you gotta be careful, a guy can't be too careful!

@bluesa I generated an "invisble post" yesterday evening. Nobody could see it. (I posted about it later in the night). Other responded that MLot had been "wonky" last night. But things seem normal this morning. I haven't tried to post yet.

Yeah, I may send 'em all home. It took me 27 seconds to (log on" to the site just now, but only three or four to edit a couple of typos I caught in this post. We;ll see what happens from here.

Got that problem a few days ago. Found out later that that was because our internet connection happened to be in trouble at the time.

I think mine was strong, but I'm not sure. MyLot still takes a bit of time to load, but it seems OK today after that. No error messages or invisible posts, or anything like that.

Upload, download, potty load. I have all kinds of problems. I type faster than the letters show up on my screen. I have had error messages.

Years ago it used to be really slow.

The pages that I open from Notifications are slower than the Discussions. Time by time I get a page that is "timed out" and this often happen when the user posted a large image.

@TheHorse This happens recently, but I think that this is caused by the browsers. The pages are slower when you start.

Ah, I hadn't thought abut the possibility that the content (a large image) might have an effect on loading time. I noticed that it took me 27 seconds to "log on" just now, but my hunch is that things will speed up as I navigate the site.

My PC is temperamental. I am finishing up here and getting off. It is doing the tango here and there and back and forth which means either problems on the site or my PC wants to go to bed. I too restarted it yesterday and cleaned it up. Go figure.

I got to this comment quickly. I don't know why MyLot was so slow before. My computer seems OK right now.

Things are back to normal for me right now. Maybe it was the ghosts from the Motel 6.
