When I saw this image on lovethispic I knew I had to share it here on myLot. I suspect that there are quite a few people here that would like to have a book published. Actually my own writing mantra is so like this that it is scary. It really is excellent advice. If you follow it it will keep you focused and moving forward. It takes you step by step to the end of placing your book weather it is with a publishing company or with Amazon. By the way Amazon is a wonderful place to get started. The most important step of all is to never give up. Keep on working. There is a place out there somewhere that will love your work.

I totally agree. I follow all those steps, but lately, I've been doing more writing/editing, than reading. I've also added the Grammarly app which has gone a long way to improving my writing.

It is a great site. I find it goes through cycles, sometimes I am writing up a storm or editing and sometimes I have my head buried in a book.

@HazySue It's rare when I have my head buried in a book. Maybe I should try it now since the editing is finished for Thread of Evidence.

That's a good advice, thanks for sharing. Sometimes, we may be too shy to write and listen more to the fear that no one will like what we have to say....

One thing about writing is that it is a private activity and you don't have to come face-to-face with anyone unless you want to.

I'd love to be able to write a book but I don't have a story in mind nor characters. Looks like good advice for those who aspire to write a good book

If you let ideas run through your head one will stand out. Start writing down ideas and before you know it you will have the beginning of a book.

That's a great code to write by. I haven't written much for ages.

Sometimes we need a little list of steps to follow to keep us going in the right direction.

As in any case, to not give up is so vital Susan. That is a nice little sign there thanks for the encouragement as always. A very nice Monday to you.
