Getting over the tremendous heat they were stuck in like it or not. It was 45 degrees that day in Malaga Spain and they are in a the Vuelta de España one of the top bike races of Spain. Scenery is awesome and the heat take some getting used to I can tell you have been there and in spite of that I fell in love with the place. At night and when its cooler the scent of the Olive trees that grow around Malaga in particular is very strong. Those kind of Olives are protected now and the olives are only used for local use in food and they are not turned into Olive Oil apart from that I was thinking when I saw the winning stage of la Vuelta was thinking of the Beatle´s song "Its Been A Hard Days Night". What a relief for those cyclists to get in the final post and cool down with lots of water and so on.
A Hard Day's Night is the third studio album by English rock band the Beatles, released on 10 July 1964, with side one containing songs from the soundtrack t...

Certainly the cyclists really do have an arduous task ahead of them on these long bike rides

They certainly do have I would say and its arduous to see them suffer so even if they are trying to win all at the same time.

I have not thought of olive trees having a fragrance but I am sure they do. The heat is overwhelming and I cannot imagine riding a bicycle at that temperature.

Yes the scent of olive trees at night is very strong and they were where I lived before not long back. Very hard to ride one of your riders from the States won the Stage yesterday in Bejar Covatillas. He did very well and he was shattered to say the least.

You hit it. Cycling is so much fun when you cycle alone. But when you get in a race, boy, it surely is tiring to say the least. Great to hear the song, love Beatles!

Telling the truth here I just don´t know how they can cycle for so long it must be training and a lot. Its hours and hours they all deserve a gold medal just for being there. Yes I love the Beatles.
