One of the homes I stayed in for 2 years had a fireplace which we loved to use in winter. It gives nice sort of warmth at home. Have you ever used a fireplace.

Nope! We don't really need on here. I had a friend who had a fireplace but it was never used. I think I only saw it lit up once and we roasted things in it.

I would want to it looks classy seeing them at home but I live in a temperate country and having them would be impractical. When I went to my sister’s place in NY several months ago. I was expecting to see a fireplace but it seems that their house is the contemporary ones that doesn’t have fire place anymore. They have heaters installed around the home already.

Yup. Fireplaces are slowly being replaced by heaters in a lot of places.

@pitstop I guess they do. I looked at those old houses that have chimneys and it looked very good still. But when you enter their homes it’s a fake fireplace already.

At the house I grew up in we had a big fireplace. In my place now I do have one in my living room but it's blocked up so no fire allowed

We do not have a fireplace in our house. We use heaters in the winters to warm ourselves.

Heaters get the job done, but there's something about a fireplace that is extra special.

@pitstop You are right but everyone cannot have luxury of a fireplace in his home.

I don't think it's practical here even during our coldest months. We can do fire, wood and charcoal cooking anytime in our backyards

No, we don't have a fireplace at home. It isn't necessary since the weather here is always hot and humid.
