I Hate Internet Issues

. . .because basically the Internet is where I spend most of my life. Maybe these issues are good for me. Nah, lol. Anyway, my problem right now is my AT&T connection. I can connect to the Internet, the troubleshooters aren't finding a darn thing wrong. When I click "get help" with my network, I get the message "there is a problem on our end, we are working to resolve it."The problem is most of the sites are timing out.This just started happening out of the blue in the middle of one day. AT & T is sending someone out next week because I didn't want to try resolving it on the phone. I can't stand/sit that long on the phone, lots of interruptions with my mom for another thing. I was able to connect to everything just fine when I used an xvinity hotspot, so it's something with AT&T By the way, you can tell myLot is one of the few sites I can get on and participate. But not all the elements on the page are loading. Are you able to resolve computer issues on your own, or do you call a tech?

I've been so lucky. I hadn't had to call for help since I first got on the Internet 22 years ago. I wish I just knew a friend who could help.

I call a tech if I can't resolve it myself. I'm not a techie so that would be the way to go. I hate AT&T.

@CinnamonGrl They made promises they didn't keep. They're liars and have the worst customer service of any company I've ever been involved with. I canceled them a long time ago but forgot why. I don't think I'll forget this time.

I have been able to care for most issues on my own, not that I'm an expert but just that I want things to work. Sometimes, I'l research the problem on YouTube and there is always some good suggestion to solve the issue. I hope they will be able to resolve yous issue so that you can enjoy your internet experience!

Yeh, I found some ideas on forums , looked up the issue while I was on the xvinity and could. I tried several things but none worked. It's the darnedest thing. It happened so suddenly while I was on Facebook. I was trying to think if I removed something or downloaded something right then, but if I did I sure don't remember doing it.

I have my son, then the Geek Squad, and then call someone for help. It's most likely something on AT&T's side. Hope they can fix it quickly. How frustrating!

I hope it's a quick fix, too. I really should have called as soon as it happened but I was hoping it would right itself like problems have before. My son is in New Mexico, he was always good with computers back in the day, but I don't know if he's kept up with everything over the years. It' sprobably something they have to fix anyhow.

@CinnamonGrl I hear ya! Computers frighten me when they have problems. I have something wrong with my laptop and have to make an appointment to bring it in for whatever IF it's fixable.

Your problem seems to be genuine network issue but recently I found my antivirus messed up my network.... which was a such an easy fix as I had done it before .... had I guessed it the first place I did not need a paid assistance

I'm a dunce when it comes to technology if my daughter or one of my grandkids can't help then I have to resort to calling a tech. Thankfully most of my internet problems have been easily fixed.

I usually need some help. I use Comcast/Xfinity. The thing I hate about them is that they sneakily increase your rates every month, even if you have a contract at a given rate. I can't believe what they're doing is legal.

Depends on the issue. Sometimes a reset of the modem takes care of it.

They're coming out tomorrow morning, and I sure hope they can fix it right away. I did try the phone thing, but it was not working at all, not made better by the fact it didn't seem the person I talked to understood what I told them was wrong. So someone will come out and they can see for themselves.

can no longer afford a tech. sometimes i try and do it or i get my daughter to come fix it. she is pretty savvy about tech things. but i do have to wait till she has time

Internet issues are a hassle. I don't like buffering sites at all..
